Children - Sarah Ruth Keysor, Viola May Keysor, William Harold Keysor

Baptized in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints August, 1871, by Howard O. Spencer.

Her mother's family, emigrating from England, crossed the Atlantic in the ship "Horizon" and the plains in Capt. James G. Willie's handcart company in 1856. Her father was one of the early blacksmiths in Salt Lake City and also served as a guard in Echo Canyon before Johnston's army came into the Valley.

The family resided in the 14th Ward, Salt Lake City, for nearly twenty years. After moving to the 8th Ward (Salt Lake City) Sarah Ann became a member of the Relief Society in that Ward April 4, 1872, at the age of 13 years. In 1875 she was appointed assistant secretary of that society and in January, 1881, was chosen as secretary. She also served as organist for a number of years, or until she departed this life, always taking a great interest in Church work, ever ready to do her full duty at all times.

She had three children born to her, one of whom died in infancy. The remaining two are Sarah Ruth and William Harold; the latter married Florence Maria Evans of Union, Salt Lake county. At the time of her demise she had two living children and two grandchildren, William Cloris and Sarah Maria Keysor.

85 Hi
I have confirmed Lemuel Mallory's burial for you...he is in the Logan City, Cache, Utah Cemetery in Lot 57, Block 2, Plat A, Grave 8. Some of his family is there also: Margaret, born 1846, Barbara, Pauline, Ann, Joseph & Lena, and an infant "Archie". The cemetery map will say he is in Block 20 instead of Block 2, because when they computerized their records, they had to add the 0 to that original Block 2....I hope he has a headstone if you are looking to photo it...good luck!

Hi:
I am chairperson of the Willard Precinct Cemetery and have kept the records since 1991...many people contact me to find their relatives and the old records are pretty bad...Willard had a Pioneer Cemetery with burials starting in 1854....by 1869, they began to bury in the City Cemetary north east of the Pioneer. The Willard City Cemetery became Willard Precinct Cemetery in about 1938 when the people petitioned the State to set up a taxation district to help pay for "beautification"...anyway, it no longer was a City Cemetery, but now a Utah State District. I have been supplying burial locations for anyone who needs them, and in doing this job, found so many missing..for example, some were buried on farms & weren't recorded and others were missed just because the pioneer conditions were so sad. I have been researching the Elisha Manuel Mallory line because he married a Willard girl who is buried here. Elisha eventually moved on to California with one of his wives and died there. He was a son of Lemuel Mallory (Jr.) who you have entered as a burial in Willard City Cemetery on "find a grave", but I could not find him on my official records. That didn't surprize me, as I said the records were very bad then...anyway, I did some research on him trying to find if he was buried on a farm here or if I needed to add him to my records as "unknown burial location"...this led me to check Logan Cemetery and I believe he is there.....family search records list him as being buried on 30 July 1893 at Logan, Cache, Utah..., although one of his wives, Mercy Miranda Hill, whom he married in 1852 died in 1881 at Bearlake and was buried there in Idaho. I think another of his wives, Belinda Baker, is buried at Logan..... anyway, thought you'd like to check it further if he is a relative. I do a lot of pioneer histories, so it always makes me happy to find the missing pieces. One of his wives, Sarah or Sally Tufts, was the mother of Elisha Manuel Mallory, who I was researching. If you have any history on this family, I would really appreciate hearing from you. Thanks, Shirleen Farley
